LEWIS, James (Jim) William

Of Swartz Creek, age 59, died Friday, December 9, 2005 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.  Funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday, December 12, 2005 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.  Dr. Roy McLaughlin officiating.  Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.  Visitation 12-6PM Sunday at the funeral home.  James was born on November 24, 1946 in Rainelle, West Virginia, and moved to Michigan in 1966, where he began employment with General Motors, retiring in 1998.  James married Rinda on December 29, 1976.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  Surviving are wife, Rinda Lewis; daughters, Najatta and husband Martin Miller of Grand Blanc and Lisa Hudson of Charleston, West Virginia; step-children, Brian Compton and finacee' Angie of Swartz Creek and Amy Huffman of Mesick, Michigan; father, Charles Lewis of Rainelle, West Virginia; sisters, Judy and husband Charlie Fleshman of Rainelle, West Virginia and Carolyn Graves; brothers, Michael Lewis, John and wife Sheila Lewis; 9 grandchildren, Maressa, Madisyn, Nichole, Natosha, Sarah, Lance, Cassi, Shae, and Joshua; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolly Lewis.
