Hello everyone, Tom Surbaugh, son of Frank Surbaugh who graduated from Rainelle High School in 1952, has published a book that many folks in the Rainelle area will be interested in reading. It's called "Miracle of Hominy Falls". Tom independently published it a couple months ago. It is a true account of the 1968 mine disaster when miners cut through an abandoned mine at Hominy Falls and 4 miners were killed and 21 were trapped for up to ten days. They were all from the Rainelle and surrounding area.
