Hello everyone. We will start on the www.rainellereunion.com Website next week. We are collecting information and photographs. We envision having a general home page that applies to all of the classes. A Class button will permit a dropdown for the classes. If, e.g., you click on "64", you will go to the Class of 64's section of the site. If you choose 67, you will go to the Class of 67's section, etc.

It appears that there is no copyright on the old yearbooks and that even if there was, the yearbooks would have fallen into public domain. Therefore, it appears that they can be scanned and used. I will check further into that. It will be helpful if a classmember from each class will take the class's yearbook to Staples or Kinko's or any office supply store and have the photos, that you wish placed on the Website, scanned and stored on a CD and sent to me - Dale Tincher, 9913 Gralyn Rd., Raleigh, NC 27613 (Ph: 919-272-8052). You may prefer to scan the photos on your own scanner and burn a CD. That is fine. I took the Class of 64 Yearbook to Staples (to save myself time) & am having about 40 pages scanned. I am also having the inside cover scanned so we will have a nice photo of the school.

Virginia Meadows mailed 29 pages of reunion photos to me. They are in color and are extremely nice. They are similar to the maroon booklet she (or someone) developed - picturing each class group at the reunion. I am having Staples scan them and will place them on the Website for everyone to enjoy.

We welcome your ideas for the Website. We will have a History button, a News button, a Reunion button, a link to the Discussion board, Upcoming Events (which could also be posted to the discussion board); a Photos page that will link to photos; a Memories or Flashbacks page with memorabilia photos, e.g., Elvis, a 60's Corvette, etc.; Current photos and an Events button. Please submit any ideas. Remember, however, that the discussion board is a great way to exchange information and updates.

Thank you for the nice comments. You are very welcome. Patty asked me how long I could do this (the site). I told her I can only commit to 25 years, then you will need to look for someone else. I am enjoying working on this. It is the next best thing to going back into the past for a visit. Dale
