The new elementary school is open and now filled with the sounds of children. It has been said that the exterior still looks like a construction zone, which it does, but it's a different world inside.
I have had the opportunity to tour the school and, on one occasion, even have lunch in the new cafeteria...not since the reunions have I seen so many smiling faces. It is beautiful and a definite plus for our children and the community. Also, rest assured that the Ranger still reigns and there is maroon and gold everywhere!!!
There are tours being planned in the evenings for Thursday and Friday April 24 and 25. They must be held in the evenings because the public is not allowed access to the school when the children are present. These dates also coincide with Rainelle's 100th anniversary celebration. The former high school building is still standing but, as soon as the asbestoes is removed, it will come down. As with the gym, we don't hear a schedule for the demolition but expect it to be very soon.

Happy Trails to you!

Patty
