We have an opportunity to be a part of our history by donating and receiving a generous gift by gifted West Virginia artist, Max Hayslette. Max was born in Rupert, West Virginia in 1929 and now lives in Washington State. He is a renowned international artist. Max grew up in Rupert, WV. His father worked at the Mill and his mother cleaned house on the hill for the owners of the Mill. You can view Max Hayslette's bio at: http://www.rainellereunion.com/images/hayslette/max_hayslette.jpg
Max has given us a generous gift, a gift that will last a lifetime, to the Rainelle Planning Commission for "Rainelle Restoration". Max has poured his heart and soul into a marvelous painting of The Meadow River Lumber Company.
The Rainelle Restoration Commission is raising money for projects such as the restoration of the Chessie caboose and other projects.
We are Happy to announce the availability of the artist prints to all of those who love Rainelle. This gorgeous gift will take you back in time.
Max's painting will be auctioned off at a later date.
Several Rainelle citizens have already signed up for the gifts. Currently, there are no plans to continue this offer after the posters, prints and painting have been purchased by individuals. If you wish to order a poster(s) or print(s), please contact Andy at: Andy Aide Pendleton Box 223 Rainelle, WV
